the guru knew that his student was wrong, but it took him awhile to discover how to prove it.
when he did, he told his student, “you say that if you must question everything, you must question the idea of questioning everything, which means you must accept everything. but wouldn’t you also need to question this idea of questioning the idea of questioning everything? and, failing that, were you to accept everything, would you not also have to accept the idea of questioning everything?”
the student said, “no.”
