the guru was upset with the tortoise, because while the guru spent all day in meditation, the tortoise just hung around eating lettuce leaves. one day, the guru asked him, “don’t you want to become one with the universe?”
the tortoise replied, “when you’re one with the universe, you’ll be one with me, and then i’ll be one with the universe, too,” and he went back to chewing his lettuce.
