while he was fasting in the desert, the guru had what he thought was a vision of his friend the tortoise.
the tortoise said, “how are you doing?”
the guru said, “ah, so the universe wants me to reflect upon myself.”
the tortoise said, “huh? i’m not the universe. i’m the tortoise.”
the guru replied, “the universe has given me this vision to show that it sees itself as a tortoise.”
the tortoise said, “i’m not a vision!”
the guru said, “truly, this vision is perplexing.”
