the guru replied, “tortoise, no one has ever needed the kōans to walk the path of #zen.”
“do you mean that it was inside them all along?” the tortoise asked.
“no,” the guru replied. “i mean that what they needed was my new book. 17. coming soon to a kōan near you.”
